The Usher 701 is a classic two-way bookshelf system possessing accuracy, detail, and a transparency that must be heard to be believed! The bass response is articulate and effortless, the midrange is balanced and extremely accurate, and the high frequencies are smooth yet detailed.

This speaker kit was created for Dayton Audio by world-renowned audio authority Dr. Joseph D'Appolito. Dr. D'Appolito's engineering prowess, in combination with the Usher 9930 1-1/8" tweeter and 8945A 7" woofer, has produced one of the most exciting speaker kits available.

Joe D'Appolito designed a speaker that is smooth and non-fatiguing, with accuracy rivaling that of many commercial studio monitors. Proven-quality Dayton and Jantzen components are used in the superbly optimized crossover. The speaker's on-axis frequency response is flat within Â± 1.7 dB from 100-20,000 Hz.
