Steven R. Feinstein

June 10, 1954 - April 19, 2024

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Steve Feinstein. Steve lost his battle with cancer on 4/19/24 and is now at rest, mourned by his family, friends, and so many people whose lives he has touched.

Steve was an accomplished author having published three books and hundreds of online articles for "Americanthinker.com", "Real Clear History.com" and of course "Audioholics.com'.

Steve Feinstein was a long-time consumer electronics professional, with extended tenures at Panasonic, Bose, Boston Acoustics and Atlantic Technology. He has held high-level positions in marketing, strategic product planning, product development/engineering management and corporate communications. Steven was an avid Jazz drummer and a lover of classical music. He also loved boxing, baseball, and was an expert in World War II Aviation history.

Steve Feinstein began writing for Audioholics in 2012 and has since contributed dozens of editorials, tech articles, and insightful product reviews. His experience and knowledge have elevated the content of Audioholics, bringing a perspective from an industry veteran rarely seen in home theater publications. Steve also played a vital role in peer reviewing Audioholics reviews, adding his insights when relevant. James Larson credits Steve with making him a better writer. Steve was tough on all of us during the peer review process, but our reviews improved significantly thanks to his invaluable feedback.

I remember feeling so much joy for Steve when he told me he was going to purchase his last set of reference speakers (Legacy Audio Signature SE) back in 2021 after being so impressed with his review units. Hearing for his love of music and how he shared that with his father was always touching to me.

My wife Bertha DellaSala and I considered Steve Feinstein a good friend. He will be sorely missed by ALL of us, including our staff.

In addition to his wife, Raffaella Zizza-Feinstein, Steve Feinstein leaves two daughters: Raffaella R. Murano, and her husband, Roberto Ticchioni, of Corciano, Italy and Valerie C. (Murano) McCarthy and her husband, Ryan McCarthy of Foxboro, MA; his cherished grandchildren: Christina, Davide, Claire, Olivia, Vittoria and many extended family members and dear friends.
